Lunenburg Woman Admits To Stealing, Cashing Checks

12 months behind bars for a Lunenburg woman who pleaded tuilty to forging checks in order to get money to buy crack cocaine. Police say 45 year old Connie Davis admitted she stole three checks from one man and eighteen from a woman while cleaning houses for the victims between September 2018 and January of this year. She said she cashed the checks at convenience stores and a local bank. She had been charged with 21 counts of forgery and cashing checks. She had been involved in a First Offender program but that was negated when she was found guilty of cocaine possession.
