Trial To Start For Man In Deadly Crash

Thursday is the start date for trial for a Dinwiddie County charged in connection with a deadly crash that claimed the life of a local teenager. 55-year-old Jeffrey Thomas Road of Church Road, Va. is charged with involuntary manslaughter and driving while intoxicated following a crash that killed a Prince George County High School student and left several others seriously injured. During the weekend of March 9, a 2003 pickup truck driven by Rose was traveling westbound in the 15000 block of James River Drive when he ran off the road to the right. He then overcorrected and his car ran head on into one driven by Trevor Aldridge, a student at Prince George High School, who died at the scene. Two other passengers inside the sedan and Rose were all transported to VCU Medical Center in Richmond with serious injuries.
